Our Childcare Team
Jen is a professional Early Childhood Teacher with a career spanning 15 years. She has worked in leadership roles in preschools, long daycare centres and outside of school hours care. She has dedicated her professional life to helping children discover their potential through education and role modelling.
Maureen has worked with pre-school age children for over a decade. She holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and continues her professional development on a regular basis. She is a passionate childcare professional who loves to share knowledge and skills with others. She has extensive experience in programming, reflection and evaluation of education services. Maureen is a great advocate for child-initiated interest-based learning.
Jo has over ten years’ experience in early childhood education. She moved to Australia from the United Kingdom 16 years ago as a social worker. She is qualified in both Social Work and Early Childhood Education and Care (Certificate III, working towards Diploma). She has worked in pre-schools for many years and enjoys engaging with children of all ages. She has specialist training in inclusion support and works passionately with special needs children.
Koubin has 15 years’ experience working with babies, toddlers and pre-school aged children. She has a Certificate III in Children’s Services and has worked in several childcare centres throughout Sydney. She ran her own family day care from 2009-2012. She is especially talented with musical activities and craft ideas for kids.
Sally Miles, Upswing’s founder is driven by her passion for community and individual empowerment. She has over 18 years’ experience in sustainability, community development and education. Sally’s mission is to provide flexible childcare solutions, allowing parents to pursue their ambitions. Sally has 5 years specialist experience in education as Publisher at 3P learning (Mathletics, Reading Eggs, IntoScience). Since developing the Upswing concept, Sally has completed her Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. She is married with two children and lives on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Daniella has worked in childcare for over 7 years. She has dedicated many years to long day care and preschools with special needs children. She has also run her own family day care in Bayview for 3 years. She is passionate about ensuring the well-being of all children. She believes play-based learning is a pathway to uncovering an individual child’s true creativity.
